Protecting your personal data is important to us. Personal data is any information that can be used to identify you personally. This privacy policy explains what data we collect on toolkitone.de, how we use it, and what rights you have.
Hosting and server log files
When you visit our website, technically necessary connection data is processed (e.g. IP address, date and time of access, page visited, browser type). This processing is required to provide the website and maintain system security. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and stable operation).
Cookies and consent
We use a technically necessary cookie to store your usage analytics choice (tk_consent). Only after you consent may our self-hosted Matomo set analytics cookies (in particular _pk_id.* and _pk_ses.*). If you sign in with Comfort Login and choose “Stay signed in”, tk_remember may also be set. You can withdraw your choice at any time through “Cookie settings” in the footer.
Usage analytics with Matomo
We operate Matomo ourselves on our server infrastructure at analytics.toolkitone.de. Matomo is loaded only after your explicit consent. Visited pages, referrer, browser and device information, and a shortened IP address may be processed. Analytics data is not transmitted to an external analytics provider. No Matomo tracking takes place without consent. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time through “Cookie settings” in the footer.
Comfort Login
If you create an account or sign in, we process your email address and a hashed password. New accounts are enabled only after the email address has been confirmed. Optionally, we may store a remember-me token so you stay signed in. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract or pre-contractual measures) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for secure authentication.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address and send you a confirmation email (double opt-in). You are added to the mailing list only after confirmation. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw consent at any time, e.g. by email to the address above.
Protection against automated abuse
To protect against automated registrations and abusive email delivery, we process time-limited counters based on the IP address, a shortened IP network, and a pseudonymised email address. Security decisions are logged with a shortened network and a secret-based hash of the email address; these logs are deleted after no more than 14 days. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and reliable operation).
Data in online tools
Some tools may store content you enter (e.g. polls, estimates, saved calculations). Many features work without signing in; data may then be stored temporarily or via access keys. When signed in, certain results may be linked to your account. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (use of the requested feature) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (operation and abuse prevention of the tools).
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection to processing of your personal data, where legal requirements are met. Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority regarding our processing of personal data. The authority responsible may be the one in your place of residence or where we are established. For our location in Spain, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD) is competent.
