Calendar-accurate calculation instead of approximation

Leap years and 29 February
If you were born on 29 February, the calculator handles non-leap years in a clear way: the birthday is then placed on 28 February. This keeps age figures and the next birthday consistent and understandable even when 29 February does not exist in a given year.

By default, your age is calculated for today's date. Optionally, you can choose another reference date – for example to find your age on a past event or a planned date. The date of birth must always be on or before the reference date.
