No installation or sign-up is required – processing happens locally in your browser. Complex Word elements may be simplified, and missing fonts can change the layout.
How to convert a Word document to PDF
1. Select a Word document in DOCX format or drag it into the upload area. 2. Optionally adjust page format, orientation and image quality. 3. Click “Convert to PDF”. 4. Review the conversion and preview. 5. Download the finished PDF file.
Why can the layout change during conversion?
Word uses a dynamic, flowing page layout. The result depends on fonts, page formats and styles. Missing fonts can change line breaks. Text boxes, SmartArt, charts and embedded Office objects are technically complex. Simple documents usually convert more reliably than heavily designed ones.
Are my Word documents uploaded to a server?
No. The Word file, analyzed content and generated PDF remain entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to a server.
Which Word format is supported?
The modern DOCX format is supported. Older DOC files and macro-enabled DOCM files are rejected. Save such documents as DOCX first.
What happens if a font is not available?
Missing fonts are replaced with similar fallback fonts. This can slightly change line and page breaks.
Are macros executed?
No. Macros are never executed. Macro-enabled DOCM files are not supported. Save the document as DOCX before converting.
Does it work on a smartphone?
Yes, generally on smartphones and tablets too. For very large or complex documents, conversion is more reliable on a desktop device.
